1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DeadSubs ("the Service"), operated at deadsubs.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

DeadSubs is a search and analytics tool that helps users discover Reddit communities (subreddits) whose moderators appear to be inactive. The Service scans publicly available Reddit data to identify subreddits that may be eligible for a moderator takeover through Reddit's official r/redditrequest process.

We do not claim, take over, or modify any subreddits on your behalf. DeadSubs only provides search results and informational guides. Any action you take on Reddit — including submitting a request to r/redditrequest — is your own decision and responsibility.

3. Reddit's Official Process

The process of claiming abandoned subreddits is a legitimate, official Reddit feature operated through r/redditrequest. Reddit has maintained this process since 2010 to allow users to adopt communities with inactive moderators.

DeadSubs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Reddit, Inc.We are an independent tool that uses publicly available information. All takeover requests are subject to Reddit's own rules, review process, and approval criteria. We make no guarantees about the outcome of any r/redditrequest submission.

4. Accounts and Authentication

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account by signing in through a third-party authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and not to create accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

5. Credits and Payments

DeadSubs operates on a credit-based system. Credits are used to perform subreddit searches. New accounts receive a limited number of free credits upon signup. Additional credits can be purchased through the Service.

• Credits are non-transferable and tied to your account.
• Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.
• Credit purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions. You will not be charged on a recurring basis.
• Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are subject to change. Existing purchased credits are not affected by price changes.

6. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our refund policy is as follows:

• Unused credits: If you have not used any of your purchased credits, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
• Partially used credits: If you have used some but not all of your purchased credits, you may request a refund for the unused portion only, calculated on a per-credit basis, within 14 days of purchase.
• Fully used credits: If all purchased credits have been consumed, no refund will be provided, as the service has been fully delivered.
• Free credits: Signup bonus credits are provided at no cost and are not eligible for refund or cash value.

To request a refund, contact us via the live chat widget in the bottom-right corner of any page. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.

7. Accuracy of Information

DeadSubs provides search results based on publicly available Reddit data at the time of the search. We make no guarantees regarding:

• The accuracy or completeness of moderator activity data
• Whether a specific subreddit is eligible for takeover through r/redditrequest
• Whether a takeover request will be approved by Reddit
• The subscriber count, activity level, or status of any subreddit

Reddit may change its data availability, API access, or r/redditrequest rules at any time. DeadSubs is not responsible for changes made by Reddit that affect search results or takeover eligibility.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any purpose that violates Reddit's Content Policy or Terms of Service
• Attempt to claim subreddits for the purpose of spam, harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond its intended use
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit search results or data obtained from the Service
• Attempt to circumvent credit requirements, exploit bugs, or manipulate the Service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by DeadSubs and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Reddit, the Reddit logo, and all subreddit names are trademarks of Reddit, Inc. DeadSubs claims no ownership over Reddit content or trademarks.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeadSubs and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from:

• Inaccurate search results or moderator activity data
• Denial of a r/redditrequest submission
• Changes to Reddit's policies, API, or r/redditrequest process
• Loss of access to a claimed subreddit
• Service downtime or interruptions

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused purchased credits at the time of termination without cause may be eligible for a pro-rated refund at our discretion.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where DeadSubs operates.
