Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best anime subreddit?
For general anime discussion and episode threads, r/anime is the largest and most central community. For manga specifically, r/manga is the main hub, and dedicated series subs like r/OnePiece are best if you follow one show closely.
Where do I find episode discussion threads on Reddit?
r/anime posts official episode discussion threads for nearly every currently airing show, usually within minutes of release. They're the most reliable place for spoiler-tagged, organized discussion.
Are there separate subreddits for individual anime series?
Yes — most popular series have their own dedicated community, such as r/OnePiece, r/Naruto, r/ShingekiNoKyojin, and r/JuJutsuKaisen. These are best for deep dives, theories, and fan art focused on a single show.
Are there dead anime subreddits I can take over?
Yes. Anime is a huge niche where countless series and fan subs were created during a show's hype and then abandoned once it ended. You can find inactive anime subreddits and claim them through Reddit's official r/redditrequest process — DeadSubs scans for them in real time.
